Aphrodisias ( /æfrəˈdɪsiəs/; tiếng Hy Lạp cổ: Ἀφροδισιάς, chuyển tự Aphrodisiás) là một thành phố nhỏ thời Hy Lạp cổ đại nằm ở khu vực lịch sử Caria, phía tây của bán đảo Tiểu Á, Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ. Nó nằm gần ngôi làng Geyre ngày nay, cách bờ biển Aegea khoảng 100 km (62 mi) và nằm về phía đông nam thành phố İzmir 230 km (140 mi)
Thành phố được đặt theo tên của Aphrodite, nữ thần tình yêu
trong thần thoại Hy Lạp, người đã có hình ảnh tôn giáo là
Aphrodite của Aphrodisias. Theo bách khoa toàn thư
Suda của Byzantine, trước khi thành phố được gọi là
Aphrodisias (thế kỷ thứ 3 TCN), nó còn được biết đến với 3 tên gọi
khác là:Lelégōn Pólis (Λελέγων πόλις, "Thành phố của
Leleges"), Megálē Pólis (Μεγάλη Πόλις, "Thành phố Vĩ đại"),
và Ninóē (Νινόη).
Thi thoảng trước năm 640, vào Hậu kỳ cổ đại ở Đế quốc Byzantine,
thành phố được gọi là Stauroúpolis (Σταυρούπολις, "Thánh phố
Thập tự giá").
