Not a hidden gem any more, but still very beautiful. Views of Florence are great. The cemetery is weird and wonderful – much bigger than seems possible! If you’re lucky, the monks will be chanting…

One of my fave churches in Florence. The crypt downstairs is a hidden gem. Make sure to see the flamboyant cemetery hidden behind the church.

Dating from the 12th century is a beautiful example of Romanesque architecture. Watch out for the mosaics on the facade, and inside above the altar. The floor decorations are also worth a look.
